With gabapentin, I only stopped overthinking which helped me focus and keep working. I felt a little more energetic but not physically speaking, just in my brain, if that makes sense. yes both pregabalin and gabapentin have a very nice chill feeling at the right dose, to me they are like a ying-yang. Gabapentin needs to be taken with lots of fat and sugar and needs to be dosed in spaces, while Pregabalin needs to be taken on an empty stomach and all at once. For me, it’s an all encompassing feeling of happiness and motivation to get up and do creative things like write and record music so definitely a creativity boost as well. And yes, you literally cannot stop talking, about anything and everything, non stop love me some gabapentin! I was prescribed gabapentin for nerve entrapment in my elbows, which was causing numbness and tingling in my hands and lower arms. Didn’t help much and I certainly didn’t notice any sedating effects at all. My allowable dose was up to 300 mg 3x a day, though, so not the max amount. I’ve just managed to hit 900mg a day spread across 3 doses, and I feel so odd on it. My foot/ lower leg feels tingly, I’ll have random moments of being hit by feeling foggy and completely wiped out and unable to focus, and I’m so tired and sleeping so much. It’s helping with the pain but I feel so weird on the meds- does anyone else get like this? For me (I take around 800mg per day, mostly starting at night) it feels like a slight euphoria, I can be a bit more mindful and it slows my mind and emotions down just enough for me to be more aware of them. Gabapentin is so much safer and is barely rewarding or addictive unlike many other medications we can prescribe. Sure you need to taper when stopping but that's true of many medications. Gabapentin is used to treat seizures, nerve pain, and the symptoms of restless legs syndrome. If gabapentin works for you, you may feel relief from these symptoms. Some people may also feel more anxious, irritable, depressed, angry, excited, or reckless when they first start gabapentin. Does gabapentin make you feel good? I know it’s for nerve pain but it’s also used at higher doses for anxiety treatment. And some people use it as a sleep aid. What does it feel like if you take it without nerve pain? Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. For me it feels like a more stimulating, clean and euphoric alcohol. No dizziness and no hangover. I hear about people having to take over 1 gram for their first time when I only take 300mg and am good for the night, so start slow because it takes a few hours to hit even on an empty stomach. Keep in mind that tolerance builds very quickly and I noticed after a month of one day on, a few days But the weird thing is I don't feel the burning sensation on the back of my right thigh anymore, also I just had my period around the same time and noticed I didn't get any cramps/pain like I usually do. I stopped taking it (only took one pill and stopped), but did anyone experience what I experience after taking gabapentin 300 mg one time? My dr said it would make me feel drunk but I’ve taken it twice now and haven’t felt like that at all. Just don’t want to leave the house what does gabapentin feel like? Confident, happy & motivated. Also can make you sleepy at night. If you take it as prescribed, you won't really feel it. You will feel relief from nerve pain and will probably feel less anxious. If you abuse it, it's a bit like speed, but more "natural." We do NOT promote drug use; - Accept, for better and or worse, that licit & illicit drug use is part of our world and choose to work to minimize its harmful effects rather than simply ignore or condemn them; - Utilize evidence-based, feasible, and cost-effective practices to prevent and reduce harm; - Call for the non-judgmental, non-coercive be carefull, i remember only taking 300mg of gaba and i had a seizure (i get them easily tho, but still) it can fuck you up. (make you high ) but gabapentin tollerance shoots up like a rocket. day 2 you wont feel much, if annything at all. Gabapentin and Amitriptyline do cause significant daytime fatigue issues but they do touch and affect NERVE pain which Opioids do not do effectively. Do you think Opioids and steroids don't cause daytime fatigue? When you take Opioids, you cannot drive, work, or do much else. You have to constantly increase the dose and the dangers are numerous. Gabapentin is the best drug I’ve ever tried. That is, in a general sense. If I was going off of how good a drug made me feel, it would be MDMA, hands down. Or, if I was going off of which drugs gave me the best memories, it would be LSD. Gabapentin, on the other hand, is the best overall. In fact, I cant think of a single negative. Gabapentin is indeed an active depressant, and IMHO is a very useful and quite wonderful substance. It creates a disinhibited state of mellowness and elevated mood that, while subtle, is very pleasant. It is a very good medicine for anxiety, and even allowed my manticore to get over his phobia involving operating motor vehicles. So I went to drugs.com reading reviews for anxiolytics and stumbled on gabapentin, which had pages and pages of people saying it works incredibly. I got a prescription for it and haven't had any anxiety at all since taking the first pill. None.
