Hey everyone For many years if suffered from chronic pain due to endo/adeno. I went to a pain specialist and she recommended 100mg Gabapentin morning and night. I haven’t experienced any bad side effects, other than a little blurry vision and dizziness, but no relief from pain yet. (Been on it a week) Does anyone have any similar experiences with this ? Thank you! Hi friends, as the title explains, what is everyone’s experience on gabapentin? I had an exam with my gynecologist on Wednesday, and after an exam, she believes that I have something wrong with the nerves on the outside of my vagina, which makes everything super painful. She recommends me going on gabapentin to help deal with the pain, but I am nervous because it is considered a controlled I was diagnosed gabapentin for endometriosis pain and my OCD. What are everyone’s experience on it? I know it’s diagnosed a lot for chronic pain even though it’s a seizure medication. I just took it an hour ago and I’m a little nervous. I saw a pelvic rehab specialist who wants me to take suppositories and oral medication to help relax the pelvic floor muscles but they’re really scary meds. Baclofen/gabapentin/diazepam 5mg/300mg/5mg suppository and amitryptyline 10mg oral. Everything I’ve read about gabapentin and heard anecdotally is that it doesn’t help and the side effects are absolutely horrific. Diazepam and Gabapentin has potential analgesic benefits in patients with neuropathic pain, such as post-herpetic neuralgia and diabetic peripheral neuropathy neuropathic pain. However, its efficacy in women with chronic pelvic pain (CPP) remains contradictory. Gabapentin is quite safe and for most people has little side effects is what I’ve been told by doctors in three countries. I have atypical migraines around my cycle that also cause numbness and tingling down limbs etc. Has anyone else used gabapentin and had side effects from it? I have a history of depression and self harm, including suicide attempts, but have been well for over 5 years now. It may affect calcium channels in nerve cells, potentially reducing pain signals. FDA-approved for shingles nerve pain and certain seizures, its use in endometriosis isn't officially endorsed. For nerve pain, I use a lower dose of gabapentin and I take it with 10 milligrams of CBD as they amplify each other's effects, and CBD is also anti-inflammatory. Today I was prescribed Gabapentin to help deal with the pain at night so I can sleep. Has anyone tried this before? I'm picking up my prescription tomorrow and am normally hesitant to take more medication, but the pain is just unbearable at this point and they said that I won't be able to get surgery for about 5 months due to COVID surgery backlog. Study suggests that gabapentin could act on certain proteins that are deregulated in endometriosis and be effective in reducing endometriosis-associated pain. Highlights: Researchers identified a set of genes that are deregulated in human endometriosis implants and mutant mice that have an endometrial phenotype. I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis and I have an iud and progesterone pills. I started Gabapentin a week ago (300 mg x 3) and I was curious to know what kind of experiences you guys have? So far what I've noticed is that i am SO CHILL. it's like nothing I've ever felt before. Just had a bisalp yesterday and they found endo yippee 😅, i was prescribed gabapentin for post op pain but my doctor said i could take it for period pain as well. I normally take 400-600mg ibuprofen but sometimes thats not enough and I already have terrible stomach/digestive problems so I would love an alternative. Anyone have experience using gabapentin? thx 💖 Just spoke with my regular GP and she's prescribing me gabapentin starting at 100mg today and adding 100mg a day until I'm up to 3 x 300mg each day. Although it can offer some relief, it’s not a cure for endometriosis. Severe So my pathology report from my surgery just came in and showed that the samples were negative for endometriosis. This is my second endometriosis surgery (was diagnosed/had confirmed report in 2022) so I am very confused.
