Abstract Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder that manifests as a tendency to experience recurrent seizures. The management of epilepsy often involves the use of Antiepileptic Drugs (AEDs) to control seizure activity. Gabapentin, a commonly prescribed AED, has shown efficacy in the treatment of epilepsy. Gabapentin is 1 of many antiseizure medications available for the treatment of epilepsy in adults; however, there are potential risks associated with its use. Therefore, it is important to determine the place of therapy of gabapentin in the treatment of epilepsy.
