I’m just curious what others experiences’ with gabapentin have been. Some say that it works great, and that it works better than SSRI’s for mood/anxiety. Many claim it gives them energy and is stimulating and helps them focus. Many say it helps sleep. Others complain that is just causes tons of bad brain fog and causes them trouble functioning cognitively, makes them feel clumsy and dumb I just got prescribed 300mg of Gabapentin 3x a day, with the possibility to increase to 4x a day if needed. This is for long term management of anxiety but reading about everyone’s experience online is really stressing me out. I have had severe generalized anxiety for my entire life and have not responded well to any SSRI SNRI or Buspar. Hi folks. I've been prescribed gabapentin for anxiety 100mg x 3 per day. I took it for a week and didn't even notice any slight difference. I know it's a low dose but not sure if I need to try higher doses without seeing any effect. Does gabapentin supposed to work immediately for anxiety or need to build up like for neuropathic pain? My doctor just prescribed me Gabapentin 100mg 3x per day for anxiety. She said she’s had much success with patients who can’t use benzos. And the online reviews are very positive. Has anyone taken it off label for anxiety? If so, what was your optimum dosage? And how long did it take to start I take gabapentin for anxiety and it barely helps me. I take 900mg/day but apparently the highest dose is in the thousands. I just started depakote so I don't wanna increase gabapentin until my mood stabilizes.
