I cannot sleep for the life of me. I’ve tried flexeril and gabapentin and it didn’t help me at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for meds My doctor prescribed me some gabapentin to help with the TMJ pain. I haven't started it yet because I'm afraid of side effects. I read in some cases it can affect your mood and cause further depression. Does anyone have experience with this drug? Is it helpful? Any bad side effects? Thanks! I have been taking 1500-1800mg Gabapentin for 10 days and it has magically decreased my clenching by at least 75%. My Jaw is now looser than ever and I don’t wake up as tight. My issue has always been extremely tense muscles around my joint. My joint structure and function have always been average.
